Ted Baker Spring Summer Collection 2018
Spring Summer 2018 is finally breaking its way through the clouds and Ted Baker is bringing the sunshine!
The latest collection from the global brand is blending an electric mix of tradition and opulence with fresh, contemporary silhouettes for Teds womenswear. This season takes its lead inspiration from the majesty of British royal palaces and their magnificent outdoor wonderland.
Ted Baker’s graceful elegance and gilt-edged approach to detail is in this collection with a softer side shining brightly with inspiration from a blossoming garden. In Ted’s palace the colour block is in fresh, prim shades of rhubarb pink, mint green, and imperial yellow, or richer, more illustrious jewel tones of rust, teal, and antique gold. Florals are updates with bold photographic prints such as “Chatsworth” and a bright mix of geometric chevrons and blooming florals found in “Palace Gardens”
Full skirts and splendid dresses combine sculptural silhouettes with elongated and flattering cuts. Asymmetrical shapes, soft frill details and elegant pleating run throughout the collection, adding a touch of regal drama. This feeling is reinforced with lavish satin and lustrous jacquard. The contrast with delicate lace and fluid chiffon lead way for a stately yet modern quality.
When it comes to the accessories side of the collection, pearls continue their reign. Signature prints from the collection are also translated into bags and footwear to complete the co-ordinated dressing message. Ted’s key handbag styles are undated with textured, embossed bow-detail hard ware while evening bags are crafted from sumptuous leather with an oversize bow detail that’s designed to make a grandiose statement.
