Tribe – The Ultimate Urban & Lifestyle Store

Tribe is an independent and unique urban wear store in the heart of the Grafton Quarter in Stephens Green Shopping Centre who stock brands such Carhartt, Quiksilver, Roxy, Vans, DC, Element, Volcom, Billabong, Ripcurl, Hurley, Obey, Oakley, Etnies, Converse, Hoff, Globe, Penny, and Footwear. Tribe first opened its doors in 1992, an Irish owned and family run company with a simple mandate: to bring the sunny, Californian, surf lifestyle to Dublin, or at least the desired clothing to enjoy that lifestyle. They are the only independent retailer of their kind in DublinTown and the store fit-out must be seen to be believed.

Tribe’s goal is simply to create an inviting, honest and progressive store environment, housing a selection of surf, skate and street brands from around the globe. Vans and Quiksilver are among some of their most popular brands and currently the Peanut Vans collection is flying out the door!

As you walk into the bottom floor store you are greeted by an elaborate footwear/skate wall. For anybody who is into skating they can pick up all the pieces that are needed to make a skate board and can customize the entire piece themselves from the deck to the wheels!Tribe also sell complete boards for starter skaters and Penny and Globe boards for more advanced skaters. The guys in store can put your board together for you if you don’t fancy doing it yourself and you can even use their tool kit if you wish to make adjustments to your board. They offer a wide range of decks, completes, cruisers and longboards from Jart, Globe, Prohibition, Dstreet and more.

Tribe are always on the ball when it comes to new trends and they have a huge stock of Penny boards which are currently the ‘in thing’ for people to have under their arm. They are currently awaiting delivery of the super cool ‘Simpson’ Penny collection to land in store and they have exclusivity in Ireland on many collections and brands.

The name of the store was chosen to represent creating a “tribe” or sense of belonging through their clothing brands that they offer. They wanted to be more than another clothes stores, they believed in the surf and skate movement that was sweeping the globe and the idea that what you wear reflects the lifestyle you want to create. Tribe’s love of trainers has never wavered and they continue to provide classics from Adidas skate, Etnies, DC shoes, Converse, Reef and exclusives from the likes of Vans, as well as the most extensive range of Nike SB you can find around!
