Tailor Made Day in Dublin
Louis Copeland- Owner of Louis Copeland & Sons
My perfect day in Town starts in the gym before heading to work in my Capel street store for about 8am. I spend all of my time around this area. I love it here everyday meeting so many different people from all walks of life. Working in retail is entertainment in itself, being around such a variety of people all the time. Mornings are always busy and then when I get a chance to go for lunch I would usually head to Brother Hubbard’s or Soup Dragon. Brother Hubbard’s is where I bring suppliers or customers if I have meetings. It’s a fantastic place with great service and quality food. It’s certainly brought an explosion of business to this street. When I need to grab something fast, Soup Dragon is brilliant. It’s great value and has never changed over all the years it’s been here. Most days, my afternoons are spent in the shop with customers. After work if I’m going out for dinner, Romanos on Capel Street do the best homemade pasta. Also, if you’re around this area, I recommend the Church as another great place to eat and soak up some culture.
I’ve spent my whole life around this area and there is good camaraderie between the businesses here. McQuillian Tools of Capel street have been here as long as I’ve known as well as Brereton’s Jewellers, which in my opinion is one of the finest jewellery stores in Dublin. Like us, they give good service and quality to their customers. I believe in keeping my retail approach traditional, providing top quality goods and an excellent service to the community in Dublin City Centre.
Dublin has the best variety of fashion for consumers. It is unique in a way that you can get everything you need and it’s all within walking distance.
