My Perfect Day in Dublin – Joanne from The Bakehouse
Joanne Peat, The Bakehouse
One of the most amazing ways to start off your day is with a cliff walk in Howth, it’s got absolutely world class views and when I do that I always feel like I’ve achieved something healthy. Then I might go for brunch in Eatery 120 where they do amazing freshly squeezed orange juice and really good coffee and tea, and there’s a lovely comfortable atmosphere. I like going to the Grand Social where they have a flea market every Saturday. I just love rummaging around and looking at all the old jewellery and little bits and bobs. I got a really cool 1960s camera there the other week. Then I might go over to the Market Bar or Grogans, which are always good on a sunny day. If you get a little bit peckish they do a really yummy toasted cheese sandwich. It’s an incredibly simple thing but when it’s done well it’s delicious. The Iveagh gardens is a spot I also absolutely love. I think it’s just a magical little haven in the city centre. And then at night i might head back to the Grand Social. It’s great because you don’t feel like you have to get dolled up and they always play really cool music. And it’s the kind of place you only go for one drink and then you end staying.
