Gather Round at Zozimus

Zozimus bar is named in honour of Michael Moran (aka Zozimus), the balladeer and poet who in the early 19th century entertained his public in the streets of Dublin Town. He began each oration with the verse:

Ye sons and daughters of Erin,
Gather round poor Zozimus, yer friend;
Listen boys, until yez hear
My charming song so dear.

You might also just know as that new place down the lane with the umbrellas.

This year Zozimus is taking an exciting new direction towards more thematic events catering for corporate bookings, wedding parties and large exclusive bookings.

Taking you out of the repetition of the normal hotel function room, Zozimus invites you to join unique custom nights by stepping into a different environment and make you forget you’re still in the city of Dublin. (Zozimus himself would have been well impressed.)

Each themed night caters for exclusive bookings for up to 200 people. Examples of the themed night include:

• Midnight in Paris:

Step into the decorated atmosphere of the romantic French nights with our inspired cocktails, French style canapes, live music and entertainment.

• The Birth of Art Deco:

The time of prohibition and the roaring 20’s and the lindy hop.

Prohibition inspired cocktails and canapes, live music and dancers.

• White Star Line:

The builders of the Titanic and the luxury of the atmosphere. Step into the gilded luxury of the famed Titanic and her atmosphere.

• An evening of Tiki:

Tiki bar with frozen drinks, tropical food menus and Tiki themed decoration.
