Diamonds are forever
Diamonds are forever
Madeline Hanlon, Boodles
Some people see shopping for jewellery as serious, but it should be something that is enjoyable and fun. It is a very special occasion and it should be memorable.
The first thing we like to do is let our customers have a look around for a while and take in the beautiful surroundings and atmosphere. We then sit them down and offer them a drink from our bar; most people accept a glass of champagne after 12 noon! Yes we have a bar – and let’s face it – most men generally don’t enjoy shopping, so women will often do their research with their friends or mothers. On Saturday, which is prime engagement ring shopping day, men can come in and enjoy the bar and sports on our 42” plasma television – we subscribe to all the big sports channels- so they don’t feel like they’re missing Saturday sports when they’re engagement ring shopping!
All jewellery our is own design, everything is unique, fresh and has longevity. We specialise in top-quality diamonds, gemstones and quality workmanship. In the boom-time we often had girls coming in on their own and they’d buy a lot jewellery set with coloured stones, but they would focus on the aquamarines, pink sapphires and other pastel colours…and it was an impulse buy.
Our main focus is having fun, enjoying the whole experience because customers often get bogged down with too much technical information from websites and the like, but ultimately, because we deal in high end and high quality diamonds, I encourage customers to focus on is making it a memorable and very enjoyable experience.
