Dazzling diamonds and Dublin…
Dazzling diamonds and Dublin
Paul Brereton, John Brereton Jewellers, Grafton Street, Capel Street, O’ Connell Street
Brereton’s Jewellers opened in 1916 and is still going strong today! The key to our longevity has been our focus on offering high quality, unique pieces of jewellery at a reasonable price. Also we focus on taking care of our customers with a high level of customer service.
The attitude towards jewellery is to buy some high quality pieces rather than a lot of inexpensive jewellery. Dublin people want to wear the jewellery they have rather than having a lot of their jewellery in a jewellery box at home. The focus today is still on diamond rings and wedding rings. Unique designs are highly sought after…Dublin style has jumped forward over the last decade. This has lead to styles changing on a yearly basis rather than styles being in fashion for several years. It means we have to travel the world to be able to offer the latest designs to our customers.
My perfect day in Dublin would have to be breakfast in the Paris Bakery on Moore Street, followed by clothes shopping in Louis Copeland, and bike accessory shopping in Cycleways on Parnell Street. Lunch at the Oar House on Howth Pier, a walk around the rose garden in Saint Anne’s Park in the afternoon, followed by dinner at Chapter One on Parnell Square.
