My Perfect Day in Dublin, Barbara Nolan
The whole idea in setting up our store was to bring affordable design to Dublin and to show European design and Irish design in context with each other, so you can see the quality and standard of the Irish work. We love starting off the day with a walk down the canal and then popping in to 3Fe to have a coffee. Their cinnamon and orange cakes are one of the tastiest things you’ll ever have in your entire life. Then we might continue the water theme by walking down by the river. There’s always so much life in that area and it’s just really nice to hang out there. For lunch we’d probably pick somewhere local like Fallon & Byrne. There are loads of opportunities on George’s Street to get really good grub and we’re big fans of Lolly and Cooke for our mid-morning coffee. We like to stay local when we’re doing drinks after work as well. We love The Long Hall, it’s just a really nice established bar and it’s predictable without being boring. Or we might be found having pizza out the back of the George Bernard Shaw, or if we weren’t drinking somewhere like Wall and Keogh’s is really nice for sushi and a cup of tea.
