If you, like everyone, are tired of the Christmas bloat and are looking for some healthy dishes to try and feel better, you’re in look, because Dublin has you sorted, with a plethora of different spots offering all kinds of feel good meals for any occasion or setting. From cafés to fine dining spots to karaoke restaurants, Dublin has everything you could want.
Chopped:
- The first spot on this list of healthy eatery’s is Chopped, which you can find in the ILAC Centre.
- Chopped are dedicated to bringing you not only the best tasting healthy food, but the most fresh, unique and expansive meals they can.
- The choices at Chopped are seemingly endless, with a selection of salad bowls, wraps, rice bowls, smoothies and açai.

Marrakesh by Mindo:
- Marrakesh by Mindo is a Moroccan restaurant and karaoke bar on Capel Street.
- They have a wide selection of traditional dishes such as a collection of Tagines (which are stews that are slow cooked in a specific kind of pot), couscous dishes and a Moroccan mechoui (which is spiced lamb that has been slow cooked until tender, and is served with various vegetables). All of the dishes are designed by the executive chef Aziz who was taught the ways of Moroccan cooking by his Grandmother, and has been learning the tricks of the trade for over 20 years.
- And as I said, they also have a stunning, state of the art karaoke room that you can hit up after your meal.

Avoca:
- Avoca Handweavers has a store located on Suffolk Street.
- If you weren’t aware, they have a world class café (in my opinion) where they have a selection of healthy toasties, salads, eggs and their very own make it yourself meal where you can take your pick of their delicious ingredients to make your ultimate health meal.
- They also have a selection of grab and go meals on their basement level if you’re in a rush and just need to get a quick bite.

Rotana City Lebanese:
- Rotana City is a Lebanese restaurant that can be found on Parnell Street, right across the road from the ILAC Centre.
- Their menu has many traditional and healthy dishes such as Lebanese moussaka, many different okra dishes, kibbeh labanieh and their mansaf with lamb shank.

Glas:
- Glas is a fully vegan/vegetarian fine dining restaurant on Chatham Street.
- They put an emphasis on using the most local and sustainable produce they possibly can to make their delicious meals.
- Their menu consists of either 2 or 3 courses with a selection of delicacies such as their crispy oyster mushroom, flamed radicchio, celeriac taco and many more.

Sprout & Co.
- Sprout & Co. can be found on Dawson Street and Exchequer Street.
- They source all of their produce locally and their menu changes continuously over the seasons so that their produce is as fresh as can be.
- Their menu consists of various different warm salad bowls, warm wraps and seasonal sides.

Zambrero:
- Zambrero is a healthy, mexican inspired eatery on O’Connell Street Lower.
- Their menu is simple but effective, with the classics of burritos, burrito bowls, tacos, nachos, quesadillas and even a kids menu.
- But fantastic food is not the only selling point for Zambrero, they also have an initiative called Plate 4 Plate, where each each regular/big burrito or bowl is a meal that Zambrero will donate to someone in need of food. As Zambrero says it’s “A win for your mind, body, soul and taste buds”. So far they have donated 101,197,00 meals, so that’s pretty awesome.

Umi Falafel:
- Umi Falafel is a Falafel spot on Dame Street.
- Their falafel mix is prepared fresh every single morning with fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
- They have sandwiches, haloumi cheeses, various mezzes and some delicious salads.

And there it is, with unique and creative restaurants and simple but perfect cafés, eating healthy in Dublin just got a little easier, hopefully.
