Top 10 Cafés to Have That Perfect Valentines Date!

  • Wed, 31 Jan 2024

Looking for the best way to start off the Perfect valentines day? Well Dublin City has got you covered.

Le Petit Perroquet

Situated on 17 Wicklow Street, Le Petit Perroquet was born out of genuine love for French fare. The bakery, the patisserie and the unique culture that is the French coffee shops of 1920s Paris. A slice of Paris life and a warm corner of aromatic France in the heart of Dublin, Le Petit Perroquet represents a blend of stories and histories. It is an amalgam of several interesting strands one of which is that Le Petit Parisian was, in fact, a prominent French newspaper during the French Third Republic. Their name also emulates, as mentioned, the Parisian coffee houses of the 1920s. Described as ‘places impregnated with the energies of art’, they became the refuge for mould-breaking American prose writers, new philosophers and lateral thinkers, artists, students and intellectuals among whom ‘matters of high finance, high state, common gossip and low comedy’ were the order of conversation, and indeed, transformation. With a rich menu of pastries and bakes Le Petit Perroquet also offers a delicious Breakfast and Lunch menu.
