What started as a way to use up rich ingredient like eggs, milk and butter before the 40 days of lent has now turned into the celebration we all know and love, and with pancake Tuesday only a few days away, you might be looking for a spot to get your pancake fix, and with this post, we hope we can help you. Here are our 5 picks on where to go for this pancake Tuesday.

1. The Coffee Bean:

The Coffee Bean is a quaint shop on Mary Street, and they are a fantastic choice to get your pancakes from with a selection of either their gluten-free pancakes or their buttermilk pancakes with either crispy bacon and maple syrup or seasonal fruit, maple syrup and whipped cream.

 

2. Póg Café:

Póg café on Bachelor’s Walk is another great place to get your pancakes from. They have a wide selection of protein pancakes for you to choose from, whether you want the classic Nutella and fruits, their yogurt , peanut butter and granola pancake or something entirely different, Póg has got you covered. You can also add extra topping from their wide range of fruits and chocolates as well as adding extra sauces.

 

3. Lemon Crépe & Coffee Co.

As the name would suggest, Lemon takes their pancake game pretty seriously, and it shows, from traditional sweet crépes to savoury crépes to pancake stacks, whatever way you enjoy your pancakes, Lemon has them in spades.

 

4. Metro Café:

Metro Café has been apart of the Dublin charm since 1996, and for all that time they have been serving Dubliners delicious food, and that hasn’t changed. They sell two kinds of pancakes, you can get either their Metro Special, which comes with two buttermilk pancakes with streaky bacon and scrambled eggs, or their Homemade buttermilk Pancakes which come with melting honey butter and Nutella or berry compote.

 

5. Tang:

Tang is a healthy eating spot on Abbey Street and Dawson Street, they mainly serve food with a focus on mediterranean dishes, and during their breakfast times, they serve a delicious pancake meal, which comes with Greek Yogurt, seasonal fruit and toasted pecan nuts, which also has a vegan option if you would prefer.
