Stevie Wynne of 9 Below Bar Wins Bacardi Legacy 2019 Ireland

Huge congratulations are in order to Stevie Wynne of 9 Below Bar, whose won the Bacardi Legacy 2019 Ireland Finals!

The cocktail competition has been running for a number of years, with previous winners including Eric Van Beek, Gn Chan, Tom Walker and Eric Van Beek. Recognised around the world, this competition awards talented bartenders and spreads the love of cocktails and hospitality on a global scale.

The Ireland Final was held on Monday 18th February in Opium Botanical Garden.

Creating ‘Chapter 4’, Stevie’s cocktail was inspired to inspire, which he creates with BACARDÍ Cuatro and apricot liqueur, peppermint sugar, condensed milk as well as citrus and salt.

The Bacardi Legacy cocktail is more than just a great tasting drink: it is a drink that stands the test of time and becomes established in the industry. While on stage, Stevie mentioned that he wanted ‘Chapter 4’ to be a drink we enjoy now but that the next generation and the next will also enjoy.

Also making the Top Three was Giacomo Pilia of The Sidecar Dublin in The Westbury Hotel, whose Memory Lane cocktail was a sweet and sour concoction made with kaffir milk and banana liqueur.

Stevie Wynne, now Legacy Cocktail Competition National Champion 2019, will represent Ireland at the international finals in Amsterdam later this year, where he is in the running of winning the prestigious Bacardi Legacy 2019 Champion.
