Record-breaking Dublin By Night Fest celebrates Dublin’s night-time economy with over 80,000 visitors!

On Saturday 1st November 2025, over 80,000 people attended our third annual Dublin by Night Fest – a record success!

Across both our Northside and Southside locations of Dame Street, College Green and Capel Street, a myriad of free events, entertainment and attractions from live outdoor performances to cookery demonstrations and market stalls took place on one very special night. Emerging Irish artists such as F3mii, Emma Noodles, Alky, Kylabelle, Circa and Kippax sang on our stages, and fabulous drag performers and samba dancers performed for the occasion. This marked the official start of the Winter in Dublin programme, highlighting authentically Dublin events happening from November to January.

Lord Mayor of Dublin, Cllr Ray McAdam, said the event gave a taste of the very best of the capital by night.

“Dublin By Night Fest 2025 showcased the very best of Dublin,” he said.

“It was an unforgettable experience for thousands of families, friend groups and people of all ages.”

“It proved a great showcase of our wonderful city, and proof of a real thirst for similar events to bring people to the city centre from near and far,” he added.

It was also the occasion to celebrate Dublin retaining its Purple Flag, an award for reaching a standard of excellence in the evening and night-time economy through a diverse cultural offering which is non-alcohol dependent, family friendly, safe and vibrant. A recognition which is even more special as Dublin is one of only 40 European cities to hold this Purple Flag, a status held since 2013.

This success of this event wouldn’t have been possible without the continued support of our event partners, Failte Ireland, the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport, and Dublin City Council. We are also thankful to our valued members, those of you who participated on the night, others who operate on both streets and those who always support the work we do, and of course, all the happy faces who showed up on the night to enjoy this exciting event.

This event is for the people in Dublin, but also for our beloved businesses, many of the participating ones selling out on the night and others reporting busier and better evenings than usual in both areas. This couldn’t make us prouder and happier as this is our prime goal to help draw more good news and good business to our area.

Eoin Lyons, Director of Marketing and Communications for Dublin Town said “It was a proud night for Dublin, and already we cannot wait for next year.”
