Polonez’ new opening brings a fresh and modern concept to Dublin’s food retail scene

Polonez, one of Ireland’s leading international food retailer, is opening a new flagship store in the ILAC Centre, bringing a fresh and modern concept to Dublin’s food retail scene. The new Polonez in ILAC is designed to go beyond the idea of a traditional Eastern European shop and become an accessible, relevant, and exciting destination for every visitor in the city.

The contemporary design and prime location are complemented by a shopping experience that encourages discovery: a generous selection of quality products, artisanal specialties, surprising snacks, and foods from across Eastern Europe — all presented in a modern and inviting way. The store will proudly showcase the very best products from Eastern Europe, giving every visitor the opportunity to connect with and explore the region’s rich food culture.

To complement this, Polonez in ILAC expands beyond its Eastern European roots with a handpicked selection of Asian, Thai, and Portuguese products, reflecting Dublin’s diverse tastes and making the store even more attractive to a wider audience.

The store also introduces two new editorial initiatives aimed at inspiring and engaging the community:
Taste Stories – short culinary stories, people, origins, and ingredients that bring the products on the shelves to life;

Recipe of the Month – a dedicated in-store corner featuring a recipe video playing on-screen, with all ingredients from the recipe placed right beside it for convenience. Visitors can pick up a printed recipe card with clear instructions, making it easy to recreate the dish at home.

Another highlight of Polonez ILAC is the expanded Off Licence area, offering a rich selection of drinks: wines, spirits, craft beers, and premium products not typically found in mainstream retail. This section adds an extra dimension to the experience, positioning the store as a complete destination for culinary inspiration.

The new flagship store will be located on Parnell Street, inside the ILAC Centre’s Parnell Mall (former Argos unit).Its official opening is Saturday December 6th at 12pm with a lot of activities and surprises planned for the day.
