Pygmalion Drops All Prices By 20% And Partners With Dublin Simon Community

Pygmalion, one of Dublin’s busiest venues, announces they are reducing the cost of all food and drinks by 20% this January, dropping their usual entry fees and are asking for homeless charity donations instead

The announcement comes as the team behind the bar want to do something to help combat the growing homeless crisis in the city, which they witness every day as a central Dublin venue.

Iconic Dublin venue Pygmalion has decided to drop all entry fees for the month of January and will be offering all customers a 20% discount on all food and drinks. The entry costs are being completely axed as the owners instead want club-goers to donate what they can to the Dublin Simon Community. Donations will be at the discretion of all customers and are not mandatory.

To help counteract any notions of January blues, the bar, which is much loved fortheir famous Pygtails have also announced a discount of 20% on all food and drinks and 44% off pizzas, which have been voted best in Ireland in 2023, 2024 and 2025 and are listed amongst the best pizzas globally by top50.

The iconic venue is serving award-winning pizzas from its sister restaurant Little Pyg for just €10 each for the month of January, along with pints of Heineken and Guinness for €5.50, spirits and a mixer for €8 and Pygtails are just €8.60 each.

This is not the first time the South William Street venue has launched this initiative; it was first introduced by them back in 2020 and again in 2023. Their January offer will see all pints served for €5.50 for example. A pint price-point now almost impossible to find in the capital. As prices continue to rise for almost everything in this expensive city, Pygmalion have decided to do the opposite, hopefully adding a pep in your step and ensuring a great night out is still to be had this January, of course while simultaneously being able to help support the homeless in Dublin and nationwide.

Simon Community Dublin CEO Catherine Kenny welcomed the initiative from Pygmalion

“We really appreciate the show of generosity from Pygmalion for donating their entry fees for the month of January to us. While Christmas has come to an end, the winter will be here for a while longer, and thousands are still without a place to call home. People will need to be taken in out of the cold and this money will help us to continue providing the accommodation and services that they desperately need. With the support of donors like Pygmalion, we are able to continue the fight against homelessness and make home a reality.”

Jerry from Pygmalion management said:

“Initially we introduced this idea in 2020 and with homeless figures constantly rising, we felt it was time to reintroduce this idea and help to raise funds and awareness once again for our city’s homeless crisis. It also gives our patrons the opportunity to help this great charity a little” “I think so many of us in Dublin want to do our part to help but more importantly just desperately want to see this ongoing homeless crisis come to an end in our city”.

The Irish Homeless Report for November 2025 showed that 11,675 adults and 5,321 children needed beds. Pygmalion are not asking patrons to directly swap the entry fee for the exact same donation amount given to the charity instead, but are asking them to give what they can. 100% of all donations will go directly to the Dublin Simon Community.
