See Who’s Celebrating Dublin Pride Festival
Written by June is Pride month and in anticipation of the Dublin LGBTQ Pride Festival which runs from June 22 – 26, DublinTown is giving you the low down on how businesses are celebrating the event and what is happening across the city as it turns a brighter shade of rainbow.
Adelphi – Middle Abbey Street
Adelphi on Middle Abbey Street is getting crafty with their events as they celebrate Pride with all draught beer €4 during Crafty Wednesday on June 22. There is a 2 for 1 offer on Prosecco and a DJ til late during Frizzante Friday on June 24. On Saturday June 25, join the team at Adelphi for Pride Day Bottomless Brunch Party from 12pm to 4pm and later that day the Pride Day after party is on from 7pm until the wee hours of the morning! And for those who need a curer on Sunday, their Bottomless Brunch after day cure takes place on Sunday June 26.
The George – South Great George’s St
Pride festival opening party, This Is Us, is taking place on June 22. Hear Irish Queer Archive founder, Tonie Walsh, deliver a compelling illustrated talk charting forty years of LGBT liberation on the island of Ireland, before partying the night away with the team at The George. As an official venue for pride events and after-parties be sure to pop into The George after the Festival parade on Saturday June 25 where there’ll be lots more happening.
Panti Bar – Capel St
Another official venue for events and after-parties, Panti Bar on Capel St is painting the town rainbow coloured with a host of different events throughout the festival. One such event is taking place on Saturday June 25th with an all day street party, so bring your dancing shoes and dress up your way for a day and night of celebration!
Wagamama – South King Street
Wagamama made it’s special limited edition cocktail with pride! From now until Sunday, June 26th you can order this lush cocktail which is made up of rose wine, raspberry puree, egg white, topped up with prosecco – delicious!
Art & Hobby – Jervis St
Need some inspiration for dressing up for the Pride parade? Fear not, the Art & Hobby shop in Jervis St has you covered! Whether its glitter, facepaint or crafty items like clay to make a unicorn horn, like one customer has already purchase for their pride costume! the staff are on hand to help with your unique design. Not only do they have the glitz and glam, but they are also selling rainbow flags and bunting so dress up your office or use the flag to keep you warm during the parade!
Dublin Bus Sightseeing Tours
The tour bus is providing a complimentary open top bus to GLEN for use in the parade. They are also promoting the parade and the various associated events on their social media in the run up to the festival, and will add the rainbow to all of their social media profile pics. The company also provides buses for private hire for use in the parade each year and two businesses have already signed up for this year’s parade.
The Wedding Ring Shop, Johnsons court
Thinking of popping the question? Well The Wedding Ring Shop is definitely a place to go into during Dublin Pride Festival because if anyone mentions Dublin Pride Festival in the shop between June 22nd and 26th they will receive a 15% discount off all purchases of engagement and wedding rings!!!
National Leprechaun Museum
The National Leprechaun Museum is offering a special Pride entry ticket for €10 (normally €14 for adult entry!) and a FREE gift for anyone who arrives wearing a RAINBOW!
