One Young World Summit Day #1

The One Young World Summit officially got under way last night with a stunning opening ceremony in Dublin’s Convention Centre.

Irish and international famous faces and influencers graced the stage with the founders of OYW, Kate Robertson and David Jones introducing this year’s speakers. Sol Campbell, Sir Bob Geldof, Ali Hewson and Megan Markel are just some of the counsellors who will speak at the summit this week.

Former president Mary Robinson spoke passionately about Climate Justice, Leadership and asked for vision from the OYW Delegates on all we would hear about over the next few days.

Performances included the spectacular Ballymun Lullaby Children’s Choir, Ryan Sheridan and modern Irish dancing troop, Side Step.
