H&M Modern Essentials & Bodywear
Ladies he’s back! H&M have teamed up with our favourite David Beckham to launch the Modern Essentials and Bodywear Collection for spring summer 2016. Each season sees David select his favourite pieces from the Modern Essentials menswear collection at H&M, creating a capsule wardrobe of updated staples and new classics that men can rely on throughout the whole season.
The Modern Essentials collection selected by David Beckham focuses on classic suiting with a contemporary twist for a smarter look. Sharp tailoring transform sportswear to create modern and tailored pieces for the H&M man.
The navy Harrington jacket with matching navy tailored trousers and a navy T-shirt is the perfect outfit for the office, or casually dressed down for the weekend. The light beige tailored suit is the perfect transitional piece for the spring season, while the clean silhouette of a navy suit in cotton linen fabric is effortlessly teamed with a classic striped t-shirt. The coat is modernised in nylon, while joggers are given a new formality in a wool mix fabric.
Textures, fabrics and colours are key for this season. A denim work wear jacket worn with tapered jeans offers a vintage inspired look. There is a sharp aesthetic to casual, sports-inspired pieces, such as a navy polo-shirt with white notches on the lapels, showing how the subtle details are so important in this collection.
For Spring 2016, David Beckham Bodywear at H&M focuses on sportswear classics with new shapes and fresh details from pieces such as sweatshirts and joggers. Urban neutrals dominate the palette of a collection that continues to push the definition of bodywear.
The crewneck sweatshirt is updated with details including raw edges and inside-out seams on the collar, along with raglan sleeves for a worn effect. The sweatshirt also has side zips in the seams for ventilation and ease of movement, and comes in neutrals such as khaki green, grey and black.
The new Modern Essentials collection will be available in two drops – 18th February and 10th March in all H&M stores that carry menswear and online at hm.com. See the new campaign film here!
