As part of the inaugural DublinTown Food and Drink festival, the network of world-class restuarants, cafes, hotels, retailers and bars in DublinTown have set out to curate some magnificent and exciting experiences that are not to be missed.
Some of the most interesting and exciting events we can’t wait for are:
‘Cooks Academy- Lunch and Learn: Middle East’
Join Cooks Academy for a fun and informative cooking demonstration in which all participants will learn how to make delicious Middle Eastern classics. Not only will guests enjoy learning how to cook such classics as Oven Roasted Citrus Chicken with Sumac and Pomegranate and an authentic Tabbouleh, but they of course, will get to lunch on it afterwards in heart of the Creative Quarter!

‘Asia Market Presents- Shop and Cook with Kwanghi Chan’
Celebrated TV chef Kwanghi Chan will show, explain and answer everything you need to know about Asian food ingredients all found in the Asia Market. He will bring you on a journey to choose some of his favourite ingredients and show you how to cook three simple and delicious Asian tapas, while you and sit and relax with a nice cup of Chinese tea.

‘Take part in a Pasta Masterclass at La Cucina’
Enjoy a pasta making masterclass with La Cucina Head Chef Ricardo. All preparation, cooking, and tasting, will take place at La Cucina’s counter in order to provide guests with the vest view and most intimate experience. Guests will be invited to make vegan options in order to suit everyone’s tastes. A welcome cocktail will be provided on arrival, and a glass of wine will be offered with Ricardo’s freshly prepared Italian tapas in order to give guests that authentic Italian experience!

‘The Kitchen Whisk Spiralising Demo’
Learn how to slice and julienne vegetables faster than a skilled chef as the experienced staff at The Kitchen Whisk demonstrate how to get perfect results with their bestselling Mandolines and slicers! After this class you’ll be making stir fries, vegetable gratins and matchstick potatoes in minutes! Or what about making clean-eating that little bit easier and stress free as The Kitchen Whisk team demonstrate how to use their bestselling spiralizer. Healthy vegetable noodles will be a breeze!

‘Walk Through the Flavours of Asia at Oriental Emporium’
Take part in this walk-through tour of the Oriental Emporium where you’ll learn about the different Asian ingreatiants, (that are both familiar and unfamiliar to the Irish Market) and how they source their products. Discover all of the tasty sauces, spices, noodles, dim sum, seafood and more – Oriental Emporium will guide you through the flavours of Asia and talk about how to use them best! There will also be a mochi-making demo by one of their talented team memebers. (Mochi is a japanese mini sticky rice flour cake with a sweet filling-yum).
