Captain Americas are turning things on their head with their Luck of the Americans. Anyone who shows their US passport will get a drink on the house on St Patrick’s Day! They’ll also have a St Patrick’s Day Wheel – you’re invited to test out the luck of the Irish and spin to win! Prizes include complimentary drinks, shots, desserts, drink pitchers for your table and vouchers throughout the weekend. On Saturday, 16 March they will be screening Ireland vs Wales in all Captain Americas venues. If wings are your thing, pop in and enjoy wings and an ice cold pint for just €10.

Mary’s Bar & Hardware are right in the heart of the action on Wicklow St. They’ll have a live trad session outside from 2pm – 6pm on St Patrick’s Day, followed up by trad, trad and more trad inside for the evening. They’ll also be playing the IRE v WAL rugby match on 16 March.
In the lead up to St Patrick’s Day, there will also be some great events in Mary’s Bar & Hardware and The Workman’s Club as a part of Seachtain na Gaeilge. On Wednesday, 6 March there will be a ceili at The Workman’s Club from 8 pm with live music. On 7 March, hit the club for a trad session from 7 and live music from Tebi-Rex from 8pm, followed by a DJ til late. Over at Mary’s Bar there will be a flash mob ceili starting at 5pm on Friday, 8 March followed by a trad session from some seriously awesome players.
