OFFICE was born in 1981 in London with a concession in the shopping Mecca that was Hyper Hyper

Due to public demand we opened our first stand alone OFFICE store on the Kings road in 1984 and we continued to grow throughout the eighties and acquired many stores in some of the most prestigious shopping areas in central London

During 1996 we launched OFFSPRING which was OFFICE’s new little sports brother! This was a pioneering new concept devoted to revolutionising the world of fashion sports retailing. OFFSPRING proved to be a hit and we opened further stores in Camden, Brighton and Bromley and fast forward to now OFFSPRING has landed in Selfridges and has concessions in all their nationwide stores including a women’s only store in Topshop London.

In 2000 Poste was founded. A men’s boutique offering a selection of designer men’s shoes in an environment synonymous of a typical gentleman’s club. Due to the brands success this is now a destination store for exclusive designer mens shoes and we have concessions within Harvey Nichols stores nationwide.

In 20+353 1 we saw the arrival of Poste Mistress and this soon became the essential ladies footwear boutique in the uber cool Neal’s yard Covent Garden. Due to its chic a la mode range it boasts a star studded clientele base that includes Kate Bosworth and Helena Christensen.

In 2003 the private company was purchased by Tom Hunter of the West Coast Capital Group and Brian McCluskey took over as CEO.

2004 -2010 saw the first of our overseas expansion into the emerald Isle and we have been growing ever since! We have now have 91 stores over the UK and Ireland also seen the opening of our concessions in New York City, Las Vegas and most recently Chicago.

2010 OFFICE is bought by Silverfleet Capital.

2011 We opened an OFFICE concession in the world famous Selfridges. This boasts the largest shoe lounge in Europe.

2012 Alan Leighton becomes Chairman for OFFICE his previous appointments includes CEO of ASDA, Chairman Royal Mail and most recently Deputy Chairman for Selfridges & Co.
