M.J. Wright is located on South Great George’s Street and is spread across four distinctive floors. Walk through the traditional Irish pub on the ground floor, past the sung and make your way upstairs to our Eating Rooms where the pub extends to more space for dining and drinking in a relaxed and cosy setting. Our modern European menu designed and cooked by talented young chef Adrian Dragoman features well-crafted, balanced dishes including Toonsbridge Burrata & Hairloom Tomato, Crab Spring Rolls, 10oz Dry-Aged Ribeye, and desserts such as passion-fruit Crème Brûlée.
Carry on through and up to the 2nd floor where you will find The Brown Butterfly Room, an intimate private function space ideal for weddings, celebrations and corporate events with it’s own bar. Journey back down to the ground floor pub and finish off with a drink in the Cellar bar or enjoy live music before heading home.
Downstairs in our ground floor, you can enjoy daily live music from local artists as you relax with a pint and some delicious food. We also have open music sessions on Sundays 12:30pm – 2:30pm. All musicians welcome! Whether you’re in the mood for some familiar favourites to sing along to, or want to enjoy some new music, we’ve got something for everyone.
