STEM at Arnotts
STEM is coming to Arnotts' Childrenswear Department, where fun and education combine.
STEM is an education curriculum that focuses heavily on the subjects of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. With STEM, children have the opportunity to take part in STEM activities/workshops. This event will take place at Arnotts Department Store. The event will have science experiments and space tales across the STEM weekends. Families big or small are encouraged to attend and engage in this fun event running over three weekends.
Activities:
For the science lover, mad scientist Dr. Jennifer Cleary of RTE2's Insiders and Science Week Daily, will be on hand for some fun interesting science experiments. Never scared of anything too gooey or gross, Jennifer is always ready to explain and this is sure to be a highlight of the weekend.

For the stargazers, Irish Astronaut Dr. Niamh Shaw, will to take you through her space tale adventures in collaboration with Stargazer Lottie on the 31st March from 2pm,-3.30pm. Recently voted one of Ireland’s leading science communicators and STEM specialists Niamh will entertain customers with her tales from space and how Lottie her lucky companion gets to ride shotgun!

Arckit – Design your dream play house with Arckit modelling blocks, Saturday 24th, 31st March and April 7th, 10.30am – 4 pm
Djeco – Innovate and create with Djeco arts and craft toys, Saturday 24th March, 10.30am – 4 pm
Tech Will Save Us – Create, craft and invent with Tech Will Save Us, Saturday 7th April: 10.30am – 4 pm
Throughout each weekend there will also be face painting, arts and crafts and much more, so kids of all ages are guaranteed to be entertained. The event will take place in the Children's Department on the basement level. For more information please see Arnott's website.
