Keane: The Summer Series at Trinity College Dublin
Keane have announced their outdoor performance at The Summer Series 2020, Trinity College Dublin in July 2020
Following their sold out show at the Olympia Theatre this past October, Keane's newest album Cause and Effect, is the fifth record by the UK band. The birth of this new album came as something of a surprise even to the band. Though singer Tom Chaplin released two successful solo albums, he missed his old sparring partner fellow Keane bandmate Tim Rice-Oxley. “I found myself wondering how I had come to let this very enigmatic and important relationship in my life drift,” Tom says.
Meanwhile Tim found his life falling apart and from the ashes had written an album’s worth of incredibly personal songs fuelled by humour as well as pain. When Tom, bassist Jesse Quin and drummer Richard Hughes heard the songs, they were immediately drawn to them both sonically and lyrically.
The Summer Series 2020 is a huge welcome for the band, as they take to the summer stage in Trinity College Dublin on Thursday July 2nd, 2020.
Tickets are available at €49.90, and go on sale on Friday November 29th, 2019 at 9am via Ticketmaster
