Ireland’s Fashion Radicals Exhibition
For the first time ever, Ireland's greatest fashion designers are being acknowledged in an exhibition at the Little Museum of Dublin
The 1950's in Ireland has been described as a time of doom and gloom. However, during this period, designers such as Sybil Connelly, Irene Gilbert, Clodagh Phibbs and Neillí Mulcahy displayed their talents which led the way for future designers. This exhibition allows people to witness their garments first hand and learn about how their influence in fashion impacted trends worldwide in cities such as New York, Paris and London.
Learn about their journey to success and why Irish fashion today owes a lot to these influential designers.
This show is presented by Debenhams in association with Persil, Magee, DoDublin, The Ireland Funds, The Sunday Times and the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht.
