The Irish Potato Famine

The suffering and disease of The Great Irish Famine will forever be preserved in Irish history and memory. Bringing our Irish heritage and suffering to life, this powerful exhibition will explore the tragedy that was The Irish Famine of 1845.
Killing at least one million people and devastating so many others as their loved ones emigrated to America never to return, the potato blight was vicious and unforgiving. The exhibition will portray all elements of The Irish Famine from darkness and loss to hope and survival.
Located on the top floor of St Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre, the exhibition will run from May 29th to September 30th. Open 7 days a week, the gallery will run from 10am to 6pm Monday-Saturday and 11am-6pm Sundays and bank holidays.
