Erica Cody at The Grand Social
Get ready for a night of good music with alt-R&B singer Erica Cody at The Grand Social on 11 April.
Introduced to all genres of music by her parents, Erica’s love for music began at a very early age and her talents were immediately obvious and undeniable. She soon began a journey of determination that would one day put her on the main stage. 90s RNB/Hip-Hop artists like Jodeci, Aaliyah and Brandy, have heavily influenced Erica’s musical direction, mixed with a modern touch, catchy hooks and melodies which define Erica’s individual style.
In the last two years, Erica has become a regular on the Irish festival circuit, appearing at Electric Picnic and Longitude. In the summer of 2018, Erica played the main stage at Electric Picnic with “The Story of Hip Hop” collaborating with The RTE Orchestra, DJ Mo-K, Jess Kavanagh, Jafaris and Mango to a 13,000-capacity stage.
Erica’s ambition is to inspire confidence and creativity for all her fans, which can be seen by the people that support and encourage her, and she hopes for the future that she can be a role model for young people in a time where there is so much pressure to be "Perfect". Erica is due to independently release her debut EP “Leoness” in 2019.
Tickets cost €14.45 and are available on Friday 15th March at 9am via Ticketmaster
