Dublin Theatre Festival is celebrating 60 years!
The 2017 Dublin Theatre Festival programme is jammed packed with 18 days of live performance showcasing pioneering international productions, engaging and provocative Irish work, theatre for children, as well a series of critical talks, artist development programmes and industry events.
This year the festival is marking 60 years of Dublin Theatre Festival with a diverse programme of contemporary Irish and international theatre.

The Abbey Theatre - Ulysses (Oct 3 - 14)
The Abbey Theatre presents Dermot Bolger’s brilliantly adapted, vibrant version of Joyce’s classic in a thrilling production for theatre. It’s Ulysses as you’ve never imagined it before, a superbly theatrical homage to Joyce’s chronicle of Dublin life.
Gaiety Theatre - Woyzeck in Winter (Oct 3-8)
An electrifying fusion of two masterpieces, Büchner’s Woyzeck and Schubert’s Winterreise, Woyzeck in Winter is a visually stunning new production starring Patrick O’Kane and Camille O’Sullivan with live musical accompaniment.
Gate Theatre - Tribes (Sept 28 - Oct 14)
The Irish premiere of this award-winning play relocates the action from leafy suburban Hampstead to South County Dublin where Billy, born deaf into a hearing family, struggles to define who he is within his intellectual, yet emotionally possessive, clan.
Samuel Beckett Ireland - Girl Song (Oct 4 - 8)
Exploring passages of a life, Girl Songis an ode to the extraordinary details of an ordinary existence. The viewer is thrown into a world that is obscure, visceral and at times absurd.
