Bloomsday Readings & Song at Wolfe Tone Square
Bloomsday is back with another wonderful celebration of the arts, and on Saturday 16th June all Joyce enthusiasts will gather for an afternoon of literary delights.
As part of the Bloomsday celebrations, this long-standing and treasured tradition of songs, readings and performances from Ulysses will take place at the new location of Wolfe Town Square, in the heart of the city on 16th June. This Dublin One area will be the stage for a chaotic cast of noted Irish actors, politicians, musicians, pundits, procrastinators and everyone in between. Writer, spoken-word performer and actor Peter Murphy will be at the helm at the new location, giving all a wonderful opportunity to rejoice in Ulysses.
An author of two novels, John the Revelator (2009) and Shall We Gather at the River (2013), Murphy has also been published in Rolling Stone magazine, the Guardian and The Irish Times.
