Alex Gough Plays Bloody Mary’s Dublin
Young Irish artist Alex Gough is playing Dublin this April - have you got your tickets yet?
Alex Gough is one of the country’s front runners for the 2020 breakthrough title, following his rapid rise in the music industry in 2019. Forming his brilliant, highly acclaimed 4-piece band just 12 months ago, he has since been winning over crowds one show at a time across Ireland and the UK, alongside releasing some of his most mature work to date in the debut EP 80% to rave reviews. Gough has been front and centre on drumming and vocal duties, with his Hip Hop/Jazz experience that's been the subject of phenomenal praise and standing ovations.
On Friday, April 3rd 2020, Alex Gough will play a show in Bloody Mary's on South William Street, Dublin 2 - tickets are now available at €15 via Ticketmaster.
His latest single, 'FOOL', is available now and marks a great start to the new year. "[This song] was definitely a spontaneous creation. Sparked while scrolling through different plug ins and sample packs, and coming across one that caught my attention straight away," explains Gough.
"While waiting for food, we started messing around with it and had the basis of ‘FOOL’ in about half an hour max. I kept delaying my drive home because of the amount of fun I was having with it, and there is no doubt that this comes across in the final track. Sometimes the best moments are the ones you don’t expect."
In addition to his show at Bloody Mary's, Gough will play live sets in Leeds, UK (May 2nd, 2020), before returning home to Ireland for more shows: It takes A Village, Ireland (May 8-10th, 2020) and Indiependence, Ireland (August 1st, 2020).
