How To Get Around Dublin – August Bank Holiday Weekend
The Bank Holiday weekend we’ve all been dreaming of is finally here and it’s set to be jam-packed full of incredible events! Don’t have any plans just yet? Check out our ‘What’s On’ section for some inspiration.
We all know that there are some major traffic diversions around the city at the moment, but we’ve just heard some pretty fantastic news from Luas Cross City that ensures we’ll be able to fly around DublinTown without hassle this weekend!
They have just announced that there will be loads of additional Luas services on the Green and Red Lines, as well as Dart Services on Bank Holiday Sunday and Monday.
On top of that, kids go FREE with a valid Child Leap Card on all bus, rail and Luas services in the Dublin Area for the entire weekend!
Last, but certainly not least, they’re offering free parking at Luas park and ride sites. Sweeeeeet!
However, If you really NEED to drive through Dublin City Centre, Luas Cross City recommends using the ‘Inner orbital’ route shown on the map. The Inner Orbital Route roughly encircles the core of Dublin City Centre. You should use this route to find your way from one side of the city centre to the other whilst avoiding the construction area in the core of the city.
Without further ado, go and have a fantastic bank holiday weekend and make sure to tweet us your #DublinTown pics while you’re at it 😉
